Details
Sculptra® is an injectable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen biostimulator designed to support gradual, natural-looking contour enhancement. Rather than simply adding immediate volume, it encourages your body’s own collagen-building response over time.
At Lumos, treatment is customized around your anatomy and aesthetic goals to refine proportion, improve contour transitions, and create a smoother, more balanced silhouette.
Important Information: Sculptra is FDA-approved for specific facial aesthetic indications. Use of Sculptra for gluteal or buttock contouring is an off-label use and is not an FDA-approved indication.
What does Sculptra treat?
Treatable Areas
Gluteal and surrounding hip contour, with treatment areas selected according to individual anatomy and goals.
Social Downtime
Most patients do not have the extended recovery associated with surgery, but temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness, soreness, firmness, or minor bleeding at injection sites may occur. Individual recovery varies.
Who is a good candidate?
Does not treat
Sculptra contains PLLA microparticles that stimulate your body’s natural collagen-building response.
As Sculptra is gradually metabolized, newly generated collagen contributes to the tissue’s underlying structure and support.
Improvement appears progressively over the following weeks and months, helping the final contour look increasingly like part of your natural anatomy.
Still Wondering
What’s Right?
If you didn’t find the answer you were looking for, feel free to reach out. Our team is here to help.
01 Will I look different immediately?
No. You may notice some initial fullness, but this can be temporary. Sculptra works gradually by stimulating collagen, so results develop naturally over time.
02 Will I look different immediately?
Some temporary fullness may be visible immediately because of the fluid used during treatment, but this is not the final result. The intended improvement develops progressively as collagen remodeling occurs.
03 How soon will I see results?
Collagen remodeling occurs over weeks to months rather than overnight. The timing and degree of improvement vary from patient to patient.
04 Can Sculptra treat hip dips?
Selected patients may benefit from treatment around contour deficiencies of the lateral buttock and hip transition. Your anatomy determines the degree of improvement that is realistically achievable.
05 How many sessions will I need?
There is no universal number. Your treatment plan depends on your anatomy, treatment area, desired degree of correction, tissue quality, and response to previous sessions.
06 Is there downtime?
Most patients do not experience the extended recovery associated with surgery, but swelling, bruising, tenderness, soreness, redness, or other temporary injection-related reactions may occur. Individual recovery varies.
